Welcome! At the root of my work with children and families is a deep belief that all behavior is communicating something that needs to be heard, understood and integrated. This requires a space for children to feel safe enough to be completely who they are. This is beautifully done through a child-centered play therapy approach.
For 17 years I have worked with children, adolescents and families in a variety of settings. This includes community mental health, Housing and Human Services, home-based, day treatment centers and work in other countries.
I am trained and/or have studied the following modalities in my work: Synergetic Play Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Child-Centered Play Therapy and Parent Child Psychotherapy.
While the focus of my practice is play therapy with kids (ages 3-12), I also have training & experience working with the infant/parent dyad, adolescents and women experiencing Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders (PMAD’s). I am a trained prenatal yoga and vinyasa yoga teacher. I am also trained as a birth doula offering support to families in the birthing process.
